Like you, I cherish time with my loved ones. And I am always finding ways to create more memories with them, more often. Whether it’s planning vacations, attending my daughters’ activities, or just entertaining at home with family and friends.

This is the reason I started Reward Your Appetite. As I thought about ways to be “Mommy” more often while moving away from my corporate career, the idea of food kept surfacing. I remembered my grandmother’s wonderful family meals; and, as a young adult, I remember incorporating my love for elegance into preparing exquisite settings for my guests.

I took my first step by taking a cooking course, which confirmed I was on the right path. Even more important, I learned that the chef teaching the course had successfully moved from the corporate to the culinary world. This was my answer! I knew in my heart that a culinary career would give me greater flexibility to achieve personal and professional fulfillment.

With the support and encouragement of family and friends, I took a year off from work to attend the Arizona Culinary Institute to develop my skills and hone my craft.

During this period, God gave me the idea to write a book. It seemed crazy! I had never written a book. What did I know?

And yet it was perfectly aligned with my vision of providing accessible inspiration to anyone, anywhere, who wishes to create lasting memories through elegant entertaining.

So I did the book, too.
